Pauline Cook "Cookie"
Pauline "Cookie" Cook has been involved in the horse business since 1964. From her beginning in Kansas City, Missouri as the barn manager for an eighty stall boarding and lesson barn to founding the still current riding establishment, Hunter's Vale. While in Kansas City she and her students rode the "A" hunter show circuit. In 1981 she moved to Houston and began her own business, Britannia Farm.
The business was run from the Bear Creek Stables and in 1986 she took over the management of the facility. Her work at Bear Creek Stables included boarding, lessons and managing many horse shows. The stables closed in 1996. For the last twenty-five years Cookie has managed her own shows and the shows for other professionals.
In addition, Cookie is an American Horse Show Association "R" judge in Hunters, Jumpers and Hunt Seat Equitation, and a Steward. Most recently she received her Restricted Judges Hunter/Jumper License from the American Quarter Horse Association.
